I am an Occupational Therapist who works with adults across the lifespan, supporting people to navigate life’s challenges and transitions while getting the most out of everyday life. Alongside my clinical work, I also provide professional supervision, and I really value supporting others in their growth, reflection, and development in practice. I believe that being purposefully engaged in meaningful, health-promoting activities is fundamental to wellbeing.

I completed my Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with First Class Honours in 1999 at Otago Polytechnic. Since then, I have worked across a wide range of settings in both the UK and New Zealand, including mental health, older persons health, community and neurological rehabilitation, inpatient settings, and vocational rehabilitation.

Since 2011, I have worked at a primary health level alongside Catherine, supporting people in the community. My areas of interest include promoting wellbeing through life transitions and challenges, supporting mental wellbeing (particularly for those experiencing mild to moderate difficulties), and helping people to manage long-term conditions in ways that enable them to live meaningful and satisfying lives. My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each person, with a focus on building skills, insight, and confidence over time.

I also work as a supervisor with other professionals, supporting reflective practice, clinical reasoning, and professional development. In addition, I am an auditor for the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand (Te Poari Whakaora Ngangahau o Aotearoa).

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my whānua, running with my dog in the Port Hills, playing tennis, getting out in nature and drinking good coffee.
