I really appreciated having Louise from Port Hills Therapists check my mother and her house for her safety and to help prevent her falls.
It made me feel secure that I had taken all measures to ensure mum was as safe as she could be in her circumstances.
My husband did not cope at all well with retirement…two hip replacements….or earthquakes. After 6 years I was getting pretty stressed and sick of being asked ‘what do you want?’ I have no idea what is available… so that was no help.
We moved to a different Medical Practice and cannot believe the speed that everything happened. A physio was organised… but I decided that as PMH were so busy, I might be dead before we came to the top of the waiting list for Occupational Therapy. So I chose to ‘go private’ to a person recommended by a friend. We never looked back. It was worth every cent.
Catherine was here straight away, looked all around the house and garden for potential problems, organised a builder to put some hand rails in two bathrooms and also by some steps in the garden. She arranged for Him to go to a gym once a week and to be collected and returned by a Driving Miss Daisy person.
At all times Catherine was kind, considerate and so helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending her services.
I am very grateful that I was referred to Occupational Therapist Louise Tapper. Louise’s OT sessions are inspiring. We have designed goals that are specifically tailored to my situation, and these have enabled me to improve my life.
We love working with the Port Hills Therapy team. They are so professional and amazing therapists who truly put their clients at the centre. They are innovative and know how to come up with real solutions for real life situations. We are always happy to refer any clients to them and can see how valuable their input is.
I just wish to thank you very much for all your wonderful help over the last couple of weeks.
